Prayer Requests

Well well well.... well...well... *cough cough* wel... *cough*....l...

1. Gun Violence
Gun violence is like everywhere now. Everyday, I hear someone is being shot. These incidents are either gang-related or just domestic violence. Some kid, four years old I believe, saw his own mother getting shot when he was at the back of the car. Don't know how he felt at that moment, but a kid losing his mother is no good. Pray for victims' families for the tough times ahead.

2. Economy
The economic meltdown has trigger waves of laid-offs. Millions of people are without job and some even turn to robbery to make a living. Many companies are asking the government for money. Every industry you can imagine... and what's more disturbing is that even the porn industry is asking for bailouts too. Yes, I read it off the newspaper. It's rather...unusual. Pray for God's guidance for those without jobs and those big ones who make decisions.

3. Health
The weather is rather emotional these days. The temperature is going back and forth. Judging from the magnetism in my voice, you know I am ill. Pray that I did not make anyone who attended Sunday school sick, especially the ones who sat near me. Also pray for those who are ill like Turo's grandmother and Gabe's aunt. For those who are healthy, stay healthy and dress well! :)

4. Old and New Friends
It's cool to see see Angela, Conrad (ah wing :D) and Phil joining Sunday service and Sunday school with us. Pray that we may approach them with a warm welcome.

5. Our attitude
As E said today (I hope my ears didn't fail me this time! :P), we have different reactions when different people do the same things to us. If it's from people who prefer, we let it go. If it's from people who don't prefer, we explode on them. Let us not be a double-standard Christian, for God called us to love our neighbours as we love ourselves.

6. Those at School
I see that those in school are under a lot of stress. Pray that you guys can stay healthy and strong (physically, mentally and spiritually) so you can finish this term. I am saying this because I am after Turo...'s iron ring. (I got Turo's permission that he won't beat me up for saying this.) :D

7. Those at Work
Ha, no surprise eh? Work is a rather complicated place when you don't know who your friends and foes are. Nevertheless, pray that God will teach us to be salt and light. Let us not be weak sauce and instead, be a salty and glowing (don't think that's edible) sauce.
