I had quite an interesting conversation over Keung Kee's with a dear friend tonight. Got to know him a little more than a hi, bye at work and definitely more than what I could learn in a karaoke setting. Thank God for this opportunity. He shared with me some of his present concerns and troubles and also about his life and all that he has done, and all that he has gone through. I'd say he had quite a rough life and quite some unpleasant experiences. I'm reminded once again through his sharing, how broken we are without God in our lives.
I ask that we pray for my friend, for God to open his heart and for him to have sensitive ears to hear God's voice. My prayer is that God will touch his heart to realize that he doesn't have to be good nor does he need to have everything under control before he comes back to Christ, but he can come just as He is. That he'll understand God loves him just as he is. That God is faithful despite how unfaithful we are.
I thank God for this opportunity and I pray that God will continue to use me to bring Him Jesus. I pray that I will be able to continually use my life to testify to God's love and faithfulness.
What I learned from Wed's visitation was also that people will come to the Lord if we do not give up - praying for them and encouraging them!
ReplyDeleteThis morning's reading says, "Some sat in darkness and the deepest gloom, prisoners suffering in iron chains, for they rebelled against the word of God...So he subjected them to bitter labor...Then they cried to the Lord...Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men, for he breaks down gates of bronze and cuts through bars of iron." (Ps 107:10-16)
Praise the Lord!
