I made a pact

with God a few days ago regarding my way of life. Without going into the details, I've been walking on a tangent of a tangent for quite some time now. Even though God is still in sight, I know I am off track from where I had hoped my spiritual life would be. He has been in my peripheral vision for far too long. Sometimes I notice Him flashing a light at the corner of my eye to capture my attention, but I find myself dodging His rays of holiness. In order to adjust my focus, He is withholding something from me that I am sure He will restore once I fix my eyes on Him again. This period of waiting is agonizing, but it is sharpening me to STRIVE for God's word and kingdom.

"In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:6

No wonder my path is all over the place. I only acknowledge Him in a few of my ways. This verse has never spoken louder to me than now. I hear you, God. I am making a response.
