Prayer Board

Hi.. I was given orders to start "doing stuff" here... :P

As the title suggests, this is where all my prayer request goes. I guess it helps when we wonder what everyone's needs are.

First of all, my prayer request goes to the students attending York University. As most of you know, even a Waterloo hermit like me knows, York has been on strike for the past 11 weeks and counting. Both the university and the union show no signs of ending the strike any time soon. The government does not want to get involved. Thousands of students are stranded. Some are happy, but most aren't. Regardless of what the outcome is, I want to pray that the Lord will be with the students and their families. This is a rather difficult time in their lives... bad economy + wasted money on tuition. It's a rather devestating blow on them.

Second, this dude named Philip, who is a friend of a friend of mine... (not freaky story), who got into a car accident, and his car was T-boned by a truck. The hit was on the driver's side, which is his side, and he is severely wounded and he lost the abilty to speak, as of now. I don't have much update on him, but I want to pray for his physical and mental recovery as well as his gf.
